Automatic fuzzy classification of the washout curves from magnetic resonance first-pass perfusion imaging after myocardial infarction.

2005

International audience; Abstract: Objectives: We sought to investigate the diagnostic ability of cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) perfusion in acute reper-fused myocardial infarction. The study used fuzzy logic to automatically classify signal intensity-time curves from myocardial segments into 3 categories: normal, hypointense, and Hyperintense. Materials and Methods: Thirty-eight patients with myocardial infarction underwent short-axis cine-MRI and contrast-enhanced MRI to provide data on wall thickening and the transmural extent of infarction. Of these, 17 had a second cardiac MRI to ascertain the functional recovery in each segment. Results: The fuzzy logic based classification …

Arterially enhancing liver lesions: significance of sustained enhancement on hepatic venous and delayed phase with magnetic resonance imaging.

2007

Benign hepatic vascular neoplasms and vascular pseudolesions are commonly encountered in magnetic resonance (MR) imaging. Most of these benign lesions demonstrate not only arterial-phase hyperintensity, but also persistent enhancement on venous and delayed imaging, unlike most malignant hepatic masses. These features, along with other MR findings and morphological characteristics, may allow for more confident diagnosis and distinction from hepatic malignancy. The objective of our study was to illustrate the MR imaging findings of hepatic lesions that demonstrate both early arterial and sustained enhancement on hepatic venous and delayed phase.

Dual-Time Point [68Ga]Ga-PSMA-11 PET/CT Hybrid Imaging for Staging and Restaging of Prostate Cancer

2020

Routine [68Ga]Ga-PSMA-11 PET/CT (one hour post-injection) has been shown to accurately detect prostate cancer (PCa) lesions. The goal of this study is to evaluate the benefit of a dual-time point imaging modality for the staging and restaging of PCa patients. Biphasic [68Ga]Ga-PSMA-11 PET/CT of 233 patients, who underwent early and late scans (one/three hours post-injection), were retrospectively studied. Tumor uptake and biphasic lesion detection for 215 biochemically recurrent patients previously treated for localized PCa (prostatectomized patients (P-P)/irradiated patients (P-I) and 18 patients suspected of having primary PCa (P-T) were separately evaluated. Late [68Ga]Ga-PSMA-11 PET/CT …
